Exeter SETsquared Centre

The Innovation Centre at the University of Exeter provides a home to knowledge based organisations undertaking research and development.

The centre provides an outstanding environment, a wealth of facilities and services, including a conference centre and cafe, and access to leading-edge knowledge and expertise.

Peninsula Innovations Limited took over as operator of the Innovation Centre at the start of 2008, as the culmination of a £10 million project, with the completion of the Phase II flagship building.

The centre has a diverse group of clients, from public and private sectors, from start-up to mature companies.

Currently we have 53 organisations (not including subsidiaries) total, of which: 31 organisations are resident in offices or laboratories; seven using hot desks; and 15 are virtual clients.

Such clients (not including the University) currently employ nearly 165 staff in the Centre of which 69 new jobs were created after becoming Centre residents.

Last year our clients turned over nearly £20m.

All our clients can benefit from in-house business and technology support services.

The Innovation Centre welcomed the opportunity to open a SETsquared facility for the benefit of its clients – further accelerating their ability to develop and access technology, markets and finance.
