Avon Mutual will be the UK s first ever regional community bank serving the everyday needs of the bristol, banes, wilts, glos and n somerset region. Key to our model will be a return to relationship banking with local loan officers embedded in their local community and having additional knowledge beyond the mainstream algorithm based banks and thus able to do more lending. We want to bring to the uk what exists in many other countries where local money is invested in local sustainable inclusive growth – something only mission oriented local banks can do.
