About the Workshop

Fast-paced and dynamic, this fully-funded, free programme is designed for founders of digital businesses.

Back with an all-new format, the SETsquared Surrey Entrepreneurs’ Programme will take you from a simple idea to a validated, pitch-ready proposition faster than you can say “Lean Start-up”! This is a two-part course led by our Entrepreneurs in Residence, who are seasoned experts in supporting high-tech, high-growth start-ups.

Built on Strategyzer’s Business Model Canvas, you’ll deep dive into your business model, value proposition, customer segmentation, channels for winning customers and revenue model, helping you to build a strong foundation for a profitable and successful business. It’s designed to be very practical and hands-on and you’ll be putting theory into practice on your own business as well as other established business models.

The programme culminates in the opportunity to pitch your business model to a panel of experts and also speed mentoring which will give you lots of valuable feedback on your business.

The Programme is funded by the University of Surrey.

Following the programme entrepreneurs with the strongest business plans may be offered business incubation support.

Who should apply?

The programme is open to registered businesses with a digital tech-based product or service in the Hampshire and Surrey area. Applicants do not need to be associated with SETsquared’s university partners in any way.

Put these two parts together – understanding the value proposition for your solution, and understanding the problem you’re solving from your customer’s perspective – and you have the solid platform from which to build your business and product development strategy. You’ll hear not only from our in-house experts at the SETsquared Surrey business incubator but also from alumni business founders who have launched and scaled successful technology products within the incubator.
