Support through this programme is broken down into three strands.
Each seminar will run online for 1 – 1.5 hours and will include a Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with experts. There are nine seminars in total, running bi-monthly, and participants who complete the entire series will receive a certificate of participation.
Beyond the seminars, each session will culminate in a panel webinar, where critical challenges in each area of hydrogen will be explored alongside potential solutions. These discussions will lay the groundwork for collaborative sandbox workshops, designed to develop projects tailored to industry needs in these key areas of hydrogen.
If you’re based in the South West of England or Wales and have an active interest in the hydrogen space, this programme is for you.
Whether you’re new to hydrogen or looking to deepen your expertise, the sessions are an unrivalled opportunity to access the expertise of leading researchers in the hydrogen space and start building connections with other stakeholders in the clean energy sector.

The UK green hydrogen market could be worth £30–£90 billion by 2050 (Optimat Wood, 2022), presenting significant long-term opportunities for SMEs, especially early movers. With strong and growing support from the UK and devolved governments for supply chain development, the region is primed for investment and innovation.
This webinar will explore the key findings of the ‘South Wales and South West England Hydrogen Economy Report’. Divided into two parts, the session first examines the hydrogen supply chain, outlining policy initiatives, market opportunities, and support available for SMEs, investors, and advisors. The second part highlights existing regional projects, showing the socio-economic benefits of engaging with green innovation.
