Support through this programme is broken down into three strands.
Each seminar will run online for 1 – 1.5 hours and will include a Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with experts. There are nine seminars in total, running bi-monthly, and participants who complete the entire series will receive a certificate of participation.
Beyond the seminars, each session will culminate in a panel webinar, where critical challenges in each area of hydrogen will be explored alongside potential solutions. These discussions will lay the groundwork for collaborative sandbox workshops, designed to develop projects tailored to industry needs in these key areas of hydrogen.
If you’re based in the South West of England or Wales and have an active interest in the hydrogen space, this programme is for you.
Whether you’re new to hydrogen or looking to deepen your expertise, the sessions are an unrivalled opportunity to access the expertise of leading researchers in the hydrogen space and start building connections with other stakeholders in the clean energy sector.
31 January 2025, online, 12:00 – 13:00
The UK Government has set ambitious goals to combat climate change, aiming for the development of a robust clean energy sector by 2030 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
These targets represent a monumental challenge – and opportunity – to reshape the energy landscape and safeguard our planet from the devastating effects of climate change. But what do innovators need to know to maximise this opportunity?
Join an insightful seminar session led by Professor Tim Mays, a leading expert in the field of sustainable energy, as he explores the potential of hydrogen and its carriers to play a pivotal role in achieving these goals.
This engaging session will provide a comprehensive overview of the hydrogen value chain, delving into key aspects such as:
Through this presentation, Tim Mays will highlight both the significant benefits of hydrogen as a clean energy vector and the challenges that must be overcome to integrate it into the UK’s energy strategy.
