Our ambition is to harvest the collective capabilities across commercialisation teams with investors, entrepreneurs and professional services to transform how we support commercialisation and spin-out.
We aim to achieve this by building a common understanding among all stakeholders and by creating toolkits, playbooks, guidance, templates, and standardisation to help streamline the commercialisation process.
Playbooks will incorporate mixed media and be co-created with input from their target audiences, including researchers, lawyers, investors, entrepreneurs, and technology transfer offices (TTOs).
The templates will be standardised and co-created with lawyers, investors, entrepreneurs and technology transfer offices. We are aiming for 80:20 rule – for template use and the terms within. Together, the Playbooks and Templates will create a Deal Readiness Toolkit, designed to be the primary resource for TTOs across the UK. This toolkit will be endorsed by lawyers, investors, and their associations, and will be trusted by founders and recommended by entrepreneurs.
The programme will include bespoke training, plus potential for placements, secondments and mentorship from Entrepreneurs in Residence and support the overarching aims of IMPACT-IP to support and speed up deal-making.
Find out more & applyThey will bring experience aligned to managing university-business collaborations and the translation and commercialisation of research and/or entrepreneurship, such as company formation and growth, successful investment raises, etc. They will provide mentorship to commercialisation fellows, including supporting the training programme, helping develop an entrepreneurial network, and providing guidance and support in creating IMPACT-IP outputs.
