Bristol Innovations has announced that Rosie Bennett will be joining the team in her new role as Innovation Lead. 

Many may recognise Rosie from her previous roles as Investment Manager here at SETsquared Partnership between 2019 and 2022, or her role as Innovation Centre Director at SETsquared Bath between 2017 and 2019. She is also the non-executive director of med-tech start-up Earswitch, and advisor to deeptech sustainability start-up, Kelpi.

As the Innovation Lead, Rosie will advise Bristol Innovations on growing its programmes for business members. This includes supporting founders and their teams to tap into the right resources at the University and within government and industry, from raising investment to collaborative research and development.

She will be working across a number of Bristol-based incubators, innovation hubs and networks, including SETsquared Bristol, Engine Shed, the Quantum Technologies Innovation Centre and the University of Bristol’s joint venture with Science Creates.

Bristol Innovations was created in 2022 as the University of Bristol’s newest catalyst for innovation. Offering innovation-led businesses access to cutting-edge research, technology, and talent, it helps innovators create breakthrough solutions and scalable commercial opportunities that drive growth.

Speaking on the new role, Rosie said, “I’m thrilled to be joining Bristol Innovations at a time when there is huge scope to further develop its renowned business support capabilities.
