Celebrating 20 years of enterprise, innovation and impact.
In the 2022 / 23 academic year, we celebrated SETsquared’s 20th anniversary.
What started as a partnership of four universities, originally Bath, Bristol, Southampton, and Surrey (with the University of Exeter joining in 2011 and Cardiff University joining in 2021), has grown into a vibrant innovation ecosystem which supports around 800 companies per year and provides entrepreneurial training to many more.
To mark this important milestone, we commissioned an independent Impact Report to put a spotlight on the achievements of the amazing companies we’ve supported since 2002 – including contributing £15.7bn GVA to the UK economy, raising £3.9bn investment and creating 15,600 jobs.
Download the Impact ReportOn 1st December 2022, we hosted a special edition of our annual Investment Showcase, featuring pitches from 39 high tech, high-growth ventures, to celebrate our 20th anniversary year. That evening, we hosted an awards celebration evening to honour SETsquared-backed companies which are having a significant economic, environmental or social impact.
