SETsquared Surrey member has been announced the winner of the EIT Entrepreneurship Award
Naked Energy Ltd, SETsquared Surrey Centre member has become one of the three winners of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship Awards. The final took place yesterday 21st of February 2012 in Brussels, and brought nine finalists presenting their business ideas to a panel of experts.
Naked Energy is a design and innovation company specialising in solar technology and energy conservation. The company is developing ‘Virtu™’ a revolutionary and patented hybrid solar panel that generates both electricity and heat for commercial and residential applications.
The Entrepreneurship Awards was organized by the EIT for the first time and in cooperation with its Knowledge and Innovation Communities. The competition aims to highlight the innovative solutions in the areas of climate change adaptation and mitigation, the future of information and communication society, and sustainable energy.
