WORLD LEADING BUSINESS SUPPORT
The new laboratories, located within the reimagined Epsilon House, offer high-specification spaces designed to support the growth of ambitious science and technology companies. The facility also includes office spaces under the same roof, creating an ideal environment for innovation and collaboration.
The laboratories range in size from 200 to 1,000 square feet.
Lucinda Lamont, Business Development Director at Southampton Science Park, highlighted the importance of this addition, saying, “It’s widely known that the UK’s science and technology community needs significantly more laboratory space, and we are pleased to cater to this need by refurbishing an area of our campus. Our nine new laboratories will help bridge the gap in much-needed research and development space while we create further capacity with our landmark new building.”
Epsilon House occupies a prime location on the Science Park campus, overlooking a sunken garden with easy access to campus facilities. The building features a modern communal foyer, ground-floor office accommodations, and first-floor laboratory suites, as well as additional office spaces.
This development comes as part of a larger initiative to expand R&D capabilities in the region. In December, planning permission was granted for a landmark new multi-million-pound research and development facility at Southampton Science Park.
This project aims to further enhance laboratory capacity in the South Central region, aligning with the UK government’s ambitions to position the country as a global leader in life sciences.
